You're probably better off riding Griffon if you want to prepare yourself for Fury's steep drop, or Alpengeist for speed. Apollo's Chariot is one of the milder hypers. The only thing it has in common with Fury 325 is the seating arrangement (and maybe the helix).

325 ft. spiral staircase? (It would be another record breaker!)

I'm kind of happy about Arthur Levine being worried about greyouts. I mean, greyouts are not a good thing, but if Carowinds is building a giga coaster as intense as Afterburn, they could be on the verge of building the best steel coaster in North America and possibly the world.

Look at the very end of the page under "Reception."

I doubt it, I 305 had gray outs at the bottom of the first drop into the turn to the second hill. Higher constant speed and flat curve. Nothing like Fury's helix.

What he actually said...

That's followed by a double helix. At this point, much of the train's pent-up energy from the 325-foot lift hill should be dissipated. Here's hoping that it is dissipated enough to prevent any "grayout" episodes. (Read my review of Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain to learn more about what can happen to passengers when they experience helixes at high speeds.)

Which is not:

Arthur Levine being worried about greyouts.

basically a loss of vision caused by gforces, everything just turns white/blurry for a few seconds. its not a complete blackout where everything goes black.
