I've missed seeing you on here, Arby! My November is going to be kind of like your October…super busy. I'm just looking forward to getting back from it all and seeing the massive amounts of progress that are going to be made while I'm gone! :)

Will any of you guys be at the park on that day (November 1st). We can have a little meet-and-greet like we did on August 21st.
Anywho, This will be a long winter...

Also, I may have a reason as to why there is no webcam facing towards the front entrance.
One, perhaps the park didn't want to upset anyone who may be watching the demolition (as if no one is upset already  ).
Two, there will be a few surprises. That I am sure of
Three, maybe they just don't want a webcam there.

Also, about the recent track installation...
The new sections have the catwalk on them. That causes one side of the track to weigh more than the other (yeah I'm captain obvious). The track must be at the correct angle on the ground, then raised into place. This process will be the same for the lift hill and Brake-Run.
But anyway.
Have a great day!

I plan to be at Carowinds on Saturday, November 1st.
Glad to see some track being installed. Now the fun really begins!

I think it's obvious that they don't want another webcam or new webcam since they would have one if they did. If they were interested in moving the current one, they would as they did when Intimidator was being built.

I drove down Carowinds Blvd. yesterday to eat at Culver's, but couldn't really see much of the new coaster from a distance. But that big pile of dirt was still back there. And Culver's was very good. And I stopped at Carolina Place Mall and you could still see Intimidator from the parking lot between Belk and Macy's. Can only imagine how Fury will tower even higher above the trees.

With what they have done the last 2 days, if this pace continues I think it is safe to say that maybe the weekend after the park closes that we will be able to drive down 77 and see the lift hill. Looks like they have put in 5 or 6 track sections in over the last 2 days. I could see the crane still moving after 6 today so they were doing something but you know that the webcam gets blurry about that time.

I retrack that last statement. I went back and looked at the construction pics for Intimidator and it took about 3 weeks for the lift hill to reach it's peak once the construction was started on it; that being said it they start on the lift hill next week we could be looking at or around Thanksgiving.....just a guess.

That was my thought; I hope I am wrong because that does not leave much time for testing before opening day. BTW does anybody know how long after completion do they start testing with the water dummies? I know we are getting ahead of ourselves.
