General Carowinds discussion

First off it's obvious we're not on the same page. Don't defend what I was saying and then act like it's okay for somebody to do wrongdoing simply because there's no webcam. The fact remains somebody should not call someone else out until we know that the person's done something wrong.

While that could be true, wouldn't he at least post that info knowing that people would call him out for doing it?

If he did infact have permission, and he verifies such, then I will remove my accusation and offer an apology. Until such time as he does, my comment remains.

This is one of the dumbest thing I've seen posted lately. That's like saying if I had better porn I wouldn't have to rape someone.

Seriously Josh? People have to put a disclaimer now when they're posting pictures just so nobody accuses them of doing something wrong? I don't recall any disclaimers when you were posting screenshots of video that you weren't supposed to post.

And yet I know that ticked to the park off.

As far as posting a disclaimer on everything, something such as these pictures would be worthy of one.

Tell me how posting two pics from an announcement video put the park in a liability situation. You can't possibily be serious when trying to tie the two together. Yes, the park was upset about the images I posted sitting from my computer at home because I let the cat out of the bag to a select few enthusiasts. But I'm betting that they'll be even more upset to know someone was climbing around on track pieces on their own property causing a liability that, if he had gotten hurt, could've caused a lawsuit.

Seems like that step was skipped over...

You are right, perhaps we should have asked first before we assumed. But it's hard for me to think the park would send someone out there unescorted. In the few incidents we have seen construction reports, there has been an park official present when people are on the site. As a matter of fact, it's that way on all constructions sites. So it might be reasonable for us to jump to conclusions.

I didn't know All American Thrills had permission to fly their drone over Carowinds until the third video when I seen a PR Rep standing next to the host. I don't see a problem with Jarsh asking questions and/or making accusations, Carowinds doesn't have to accommodate their fans like they do. Be thankful, follow the rules and quit whining for more.

Yo.

Everybody cut it out.

If the park has an issue with anything posted here they are free to contact me (and sometimes they do) and the mods will handle it. Beyond that, users are responsible for the content of their posts and we're not here to play babysitter. Personally I would appreciate it if people would avoid doing anything that would reflect poorly on the coaster community as a whole, but let's not have a multi-page hissy fit over it.

If anyone has posted photos that were taken from unauthorized areas without permission then my suggestion would be that you remove them, because you are putting yourself at risk of a trespassing charge, ban from the park, etc.

I wonder if those hornets/wasp/yellow jackets are part of the reason the webcam hasn't been updated. I mean, even if they had the necessary equipment ready to go, I'd prolly wait until it got cooler and they left before attempting any kind of work, lol.

Which can turn disastrous on the ground much less roughly 300ft in the air. I wouldn't blame them for waiting for colder weather ( if that happens to be the case ) they would be much more docile then...if one could refer to wasps/hornets/whatever they are as docile.

Sorry about all that, I wasn't aware that I was breaking the rules. I'm not trying to put a bad name out for this site or enthusiasts. I'm going to delete the post and Jonathan, Jay, and Wormy take whatever action you think is necessary, I realize I made a mistake and I'm extremely sorry. Thanks for alerting me Jarsh, I had no idea...
