I was driving by and stopped to get a better look.

The new Carowinds skyline is going to be very cool. The lift hill for Fury is far enough northwest that I don't think it will overlap Intimidator from any of the common approach directions.

It is the basket for the men. I imagine that Big Bird will lift the last section of track.

You are correct! I was just joking around !!! They are moving quickly to get this thing secured! I am guessing they are going up to unhook the lift cable from that support and get ready for the next piece of track.

It is a basket with two people in it. They are disconnecting BB from the support.

So, not including the section they are about to install, there are 4 more straight lift sections left, so 8 total. The arched piece will be out of the camera frame unless the camera is moved a few inches up and to the right.

You couldn't pay me a million dollar to get in that "bucket" and have a crane pull me up there to disconnect a wire. What ever these men are paid, they deserve more! Crazy job. It reminds of those window washers that clean the tall buildings. I thank them for their outstanding work, not for me.

I remember watching a video, very recently but can't remember where, that stated that when a track piece is lifted it must match the corresponding tracks angle perfectly. So far I have watched 2 pieces of the lift raised and lowered then raised again.
I wonder if that is the reason, Angle not correct.

Just checked and it just happened. Thanks to the park for reading your camera complaints/requests. Always seems to occur.

In other news, the 3rd piece of lift hill track is now UP. They also have track after the drop now up.
