Wow. I think it just dawned on me how much Fury will dominate the skyline next year!
It's not even as tall as Intimidator yet, but it already looks massive and the colors stand out perfectly.

One support and 3 pieces of track installed. Image
(best if you open the pic in a new tab)

Just across Catawba Trace from Security Post 1 there is a drop off area for employees. I parked there and asked the security folks if I could walk in the employee parking lot that is just past it. They were very nice and said I could up to a certain point. They also mentioned that they only allow it during day light. They prefer that folks not snoop around after hours. I made sure to thank them when I left.

Interestingly, they asked if I was "from Carowinds Connection". I laughed and said that I frequently am on the site, which in reality was a lie since I am on Carowinds Connection every day. LOL

What's even funnier is when I worked at Carowinds, everyone knew of a little website called "Carowinds Zone". I got stopped at Security post 2 because I had a camera bag that needed checked, they already knew I am Carowinds Zone without me telling them. I guess I am basic famous.

Ok, am I missing something? Are those Vortex seats out there every off-season? Or are we getting a sit down transformation?

Every coaster train from every coaster is taken off the track in the off season, pulled apart piece by piece, inspected, and put back together before opening day. If he would have been allowed to walk around a bit more you would have seen Afterburn trains, Intimidator trains, Cyclone trains, etc all out there.

OH! That makes a lot more sense. Thanks for the clarification! :D

Just checked and it just happened. Thanks to the park for reading your camera complaints/requests. Always seems to occur.

In other news, the 3rd piece of lift hill track is now UP. They also have track after the drop now up.

No, the camera hasn't changed position yet.
