I'm really pleased with how quickly everything has gone up the last three or four days. After the lift it's all "down hill" from there...

Side note, I rewatched the Fury flyaround video and something jumped out at me that I didn't notice the first time around:



I think the two state's outlines are a nice touch and I hope there are more nods to the two states coming together in the new plaza.

What's even funnier is when I worked at Carowinds, everyone knew of a little website called "Carowinds Zone". I got stopped at Security post 2 because I had a camera bag that needed checked, they already knew I am Carowinds Zone without me telling them. I guess I am basic famous.

Darn it, my iPhone doesn't like Carowinds.com. It keeps looping back to the mobile site. By the way, the 2014 cups say good through 12/31/14 too.

I second that. It's nearly impossible to do anything with the Carowinds website on a mobile device.

I did want to take the time to thank Carowinds for the new cameras - they are awesome! Also thanks to Carowinds Connection for the link to the live feeds.

Maybe it's just me, but I wish you'd stop putting out shameless plugs for your site which is clearly competing with Carowinds Connection. It feels to me like you're over her trolling trying to take away from this site. I find it extremely rude and inconsiderate.

Back on topic, but do they work on Sundays? I know a lot of construction companies don't but I wasn't sure since there is a limited amount of time to work along with the chance of weather delays in the coming weeks.

Just not enough to warrant having a forum. As far as forums go, it seems Social Media has taken there place web-wide. The Facebook was more active than the forums, so I sealed the forums off.

I don't see any movement on the webcam today, I was surprised to see work on a Saturday yesterday. It appears that the last sections of track are still attached to one crane.

Who else thinks it is possible that the lift hill could be completed before Thanksgiving?

As far as commercial construction work goes, it usually is up to the company and/or workers based on the contract. Early on they usually work 5-6 days a week but then often start working 7 days a week if there is an early completion bonus. A lot of retail construction work has an early completion bonus. (I used to be an electrician)

Unless there is bad weather that starts putting them behind schedule, I don't expect that we'll see a lot of Sunday work or if they get paid extra for finishing early.

I can't wait to see the time lapse of this week since we were out shopping yesterday when the next section of the lift hill went up. Good news is that we're half way done with Christmas shopping.
