I'm still wondering why the bottom of the drop was constructed before the lift...

they did the same thing with Leviathan. they build up both directions on the lift/drop, then put in the 4 track peak section last.

Edit: I'm shocked no one has said anything about the 2 pieces of that that have been installed today.... so much for the sequential order.

I was watching the animation for Fury and I looked at how the track sections at the top are. There are two curved sections at the top and one straight section after the support. One crane will need to hold the straight section and the other will need to lift the curved sections in place while also holding the basket. Unless a third large crane is built.

EDIT
DavidW, I just noticed that. Perhaps they are trying to get other sections out of the way while they can.

Kind of interesting watching the people walk up and down new, upper section of the lift hill. Looks like the most interesting thing going on now is hand-rail construction on the new section.

I was just getting ready to post the same thing. I think it is a new piece of track.

Well...thinking about it, it kinda makes sense to start work up there now and work around the coaster. And besides, we get to see the area where most of the excitement of the coast takes place constructed...but you never know what may go up next!
