Considering the skill it takes to put this together and the fact that we will be travelling down that drop at about 95 mph, I will happily allow them to take as much time as they feel necessary to make sure we are safe when we ride.

Don't worry folks....it will be get finished when it gets done. It will be ready for you to ride next season.

My GUESS would be another piece of the Drop.

The scale of this project still just has my mouth dropping. Sure, you can look at the live feed and tell it is big, but when you see people actually walking around at the base of the drop, that is when I'm just dumbfounded.

They have a lot of support construction to do on the ground first. My guess is that they'll continue to work on the drop side up to the next support then switch. Then again with the width of the next drop support, they may swicth back and do the next lift support first.

You can always cheat and go look at the Leviathan construction pages. I imagine B&M provides guidelines for that sort of thing.

Wormy, they need to give you a key to the park and let you come and go as our official photographer. It just ain't right you have to hide in the bushes, behind abandon buildings, and troll empty parking lots just to get us some pictures. How about it Mike, we don't ask for much? I'm sure it may be perspective but the "circle" looks like it's too tight to wrap around the center where the state line and carowinds sign will be (roughly where the giant pile of grey gravel is.)

Absolutely. They really struggled to get the lifting straps positioned correctly on the big piece today. It takes a lot of pre-planning for every piece that they have to lift with the big cranes and is placed on top of other pieces.

Putting in the supports that attach to the ground is not so bad. And putting pieces that are low to the gound, so they can use smaller equipment on both ends of the piece, is also much easier.

--edit I will take that Dino if Carowinds does not want it!
