Don't bag on Mosley.They've built damn near every coaster in the park. Fury 325 WILL open at Carowinds, and that is the only matter of importance.

As opposed to opening at knotts berry farms ? I would really hope it opens at carowinds...since they seem to be building it there lol lol...

I imagine that the current support will be completed today and two more track sections (for the lift hill) will be put into place. Then, later on throughout the week, four track sections (for the drop) will be placed, then that angled support to hold it all up.

One crane will then add the final straight piece for the lift hill and will have to hold it in place while the two top curved sections are connected on the ground and lifted together and put into place while the third crane holds the man basket. Sounds confusing, but more than likely that's how it will all happen in order for the lift and first drop to be completed.

Total time (weather permitting): two weeks. Guys, it's not that long of a timeline and it WILL get done.
No worries on any of this, just sit back, relax, and be happy that you're not the ones lifting these sections into place.

I saw that as well. I live less than ten minutes away from the park, I feel like it's way to windy to raise anything into the air today unfortunately. But who knows, maybe they will.

I spent the last hour staring at the pdf files of the entrance and all renovations for the park. However, nothing mentioned about other changes. There's a lot in store for next season!

By my estimation, it looks like this next support will meet the track pretty close to the skyline as seen from the webcam. Anyone know how high the webcam is mounted on the Skytower? Given the relatively flat terrain in the area, that would give us a pretty good estimation as to how high the track would be at that point.

^ I'm not so sure it would. The new camera has zooming capabilities and can be remotely controlled.

Either way, we'll know exactly how tall it is when its topped off... 325 feet.
