General Carowinds discussion

Status 502 is: The server, while acting as a gateway or proxy, received an invalid response from the upstream server it accessed in attempting to fulfill the request.

Probably nothing you can do, since the problem is upstream. Good luck that it gets fixed for you.

Now, I'm getting a 303: Resource not found

And the resource that isn't being found is pretty obviously the Carowinds watermark. It isn't being displayed. Otherwise the stream is still working just fine for me, but without the watermark. The gateway shouldn't stop the other resources from getting streamed... but who knows what settings somebody has put on the servers in between you and pixelcaster.

Again I have to ask when they are bringing in more track from Clermont?
I guess the remaining pieces on the parking lot are for the turnaround section and bridge dive of Fury, so if they cannot build that part because of the curing of the bridge footers, where will they continue their work without the right track pieces? Any explanation for that? Just wondering.

I watch the .stream file directly in VLC Media Player without issue.

If you're watching it in a browser and getting a 502 error, there is an upstream error (like someone previously mentioned) or you could be blocked. You might want to check out a free proxy service (like hidemyass.com - you have to scroll all the way to the bottom for the free version) if you are being blocked.

I saw at least one truck being offloaded this morning. I was working so I didn't watch the camera non-stop so more could have come during the day.

Ok, thanks.
Did they load off at the current parking lot where all the other pieces are?
Seems like the same track pieces and supports have been sitting there for weeks.

In order to try to help those without streaming capability in browser, you can try to watch in a video player, like VLC media player.

1. you need to download and install a player, might as well as get VLC if you don't have it. It is excellent and free. Choose whatever version for your operating system, download and install. The images below, from my system, might look slightly different than your version (I don't use Windows or Mac, I use those strange systems you've probably never heard of)

download from here
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

2. hit "Media" in the toolbar, and select "Open Network Stream"

Image

3. copy and paste the address below into the box

http://cs2.pixelcaster.com:1935/live/carowinds1.stream/playlist.m3u8

Image

4. click Play... wait a few seconds...and

5. enjoy

The address for the "main gate" cam is:

http://cs2.pixelcaster.com:1935/live/carowinds2.stream/playlist.m3u8

All you need to do is substitute that address for step 3 above. You will notice that the only difference in those addresses is "/carowinds1.stream/" or "/carowinds2.stream/"

Then you can use the track skip buttons |<< or >>| to jump back and forth between the streams.

Hey, thanks very much. Now it works just fine, and I happen to love VLC anyway, but I never would have thought of that.
Kudos to you, kirkgun
