I saw on the pdf plans that the old flag poles were to be saved and re-used in the new entrance in the same way that they used to be (4 on either side). So don't worry, the flag poles are returning.

Not much else to get from pedestrian level, although a small hill was climbed from a safe distance. Surely there will be all the up-close construction shots you can stand next week. See ya at the warmup!

Huge thanks to all that have contributed so far to the gallery, and of course to park staff, Mike, and Mosley for going above and beyond to keep everyone updated from the inside for this once in a lifetime show.

P.S. You all owe me about ten bucks apiece for gas. :P

^^ Looks to me about 2 or 3 also. I guess they can put up lots of supports... and re-torque bolts (which they are doing this morning). They could take the time to tear-down one of the cranes...

Unless track arrives Monday (or maybe Tuesday), track installation will pause. :(

(at least the entrance construction guys are pumping cement this morning at the dive under the bridge! It seems like that dive area is like Hoover Dam, it's taking so long to construct!)
