General Carowinds discussion

One of the things that will make this ride seem bigger than it is (not that it isn't already) is the open trains. The first time I rode Intimidator the height was SO much more accentuated by the fact that you didn't have a sidewall of the train blocking your view of what is essentially straight down. (Swing your feet out over the abyss). If Fury's trains had walls, the horizon would really not appear much different at 200ft than at 300 especially if you had shoulder harnesses preventing you from moving around much. BUT, without the train side panels and only lap restraints, those riders on the outside are really gonna know what 300 feet straight down looks like!

Looks like tomorrow will begin by cresting the camelback and crossing the first drop.

Since there will be literally NOTHING in the way of track construction on the far side of the lift-hill (along with bright sunshine forecast for tomorrow), things should move VERY rapidly through to the crest of the second camelback where it crosses back under the lift-hill.

About 20 minutes ago I drove by Carowinds on 77 and saw Fury 325 for the first time, faintly illuminated by the work lights.
HOLY.
CRAP.

Seeing it in person, priceless.
Can't wait until Saturday!

I don't have a problem with it. I kind of wish it was closer to give a good head chopper effect.

maybe like UK's Thorpe Park initial testing :)

I wasn't as shocked about the dummies limbs missing than what I read at the end of that article about the park wanting people to donate urine. wtf

That reminds me to back when they were building Storm Surge and an article surfaced about workers claiming the construction area was haunted. They said that many of their tools would move on their own and even disappear.

Then there is this article about Storm Surge being haunted by a headless monk: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/artic ... -monk.html
