I am confused, what circle? Plus the state line has shifted to and fo over the last 40 years. Is it really this interesting or important that the state line marked?

Hey Winter Warm Up folks at the 3:55 mark. :-)

The state line will be marked at the front gate just like it always has. Mike even mentioned that they have considered adding more state line signs throughout the park (where appropriate) to create more photo spots for people to take pics at.

The one that he has said they might not do was the NC/SC outline in concrete out at the Fury overpass.

I spoke with Mike about the state's shapes in the circle. He said that they will not be there. But they will be doing the sign on the state line again. They are debating if they want to bring back the original, or if they want to make a bigger better one. He said that they may make a bigger one. Bigger entrance, bigger sign. But that doesn't mean that we won't see the original sign again
Anyway, he also said that there need to be more "photo spots" around the park, like the old state line sign. On the way back to Harmony Hall, John and I talked about Thunder Road a bit, but I'll wait til August for that.

A big tease I would say. Who knows? Paint? Retrofit with steel rails? insert guess here and this will probably be a spin-off into another thread until the big reveal.

"Shifted to and fro" was because of lack of equipment for precise marking of the line. I wasn't necessarily speaking of marking the line exactly, although it would be a plus. (Tell me you haven't seen countless people taking pictures while standing one foot on each side of that line over the years. It was yet another attraction, albeit small, to the park.)

I was simply meaning recognizing both states. I thought the circle and the outlines were nice touches.

If Vortex aint going to become a floorless than one of the most popular rides in the park isnt getting steel track. 2016 marks 40 years for Thunder Road....at 20, it got a new sign.

Thank god Kinzel no longer is GM at Carowinds. Seriously, this guy deserves to be a candidate on the list for next Cedar Fair GM. He understands the principles of running a park, and creating lifelong memories.

The reason why I said I'll wait til August is because there will be ideas thrown around of what to do. Definitely not repainting. It's too much time and money.
But back to Fury. Steve said that the last piece of track may be in by this Wednesday or Thursday. (mike said it's due to arrive on Tuesday).

There was reportedly a secret announcement of some sort at the Winter Warm Up. Perhaps it was regarding 2016 plans or something to do with Thunder Road. Although they have already teased a "big splash" for 2016. But right now I am more excited about 2015 and Fury 325.

The only "secret announcement" at Winter Warm Up was from SFOG and it won't be secret for too much longer.
