Does look weird. Maybe has something to do with the access road that goes around the "Rapids". Looks like it would cross it at 90 degrees though instead of straddling it. Don't know.

I've had a Carowinds season pass every year I have been alive (first trip in 94 I was 4 weeks old lol) and I have always been interested in coasters, but I have learned so much from all of you on this forum so thanks for that! It's fun to see Fury go up while thinking about all of these different aspects of construction. Can't wait for opening day and to keep interesting conversations going.

Are you guys talking about this support?

Looks like it would be for that access road that runs behind RRR/Hurler/Drop Tower.

Maybe spoke too soon. They've moved the cars.

It would seem like they should have taped off that area a week ago to prevent parking there...

MOVE IT!... there's a coaster coming through!

It sure seems strange they would choose to drive under a small support rather than inbetween larger supports... I hope they don't let big trucks go under there while the coaster is operating! Talk about big lawsuits for unsafe design if a truck took out some track...

Yesterday I saw them bring in a new track piece over to where it should be put in place, but then they took it away. Why do you think that happened? Might that be the reason why more track hasn't gone in?

Since my kids had a teacher workday off from school today, we took a drive down to check out the construction. I took some pictures, but I'm sure they're no different than all those that have already been posted, but WOW!! Fury looks AMAZING!! The skyline heading down I-77 was incredible. I couldn't get either of the kids to whip out a phone to snap a picture of it in time, but I'm sure there will be plenty more opportunities once the park is open. Needless to say, we are now SUPER anxious for the park to open for the season!!!

More likely for the road that runs around Rip Roarin Rapids behind the scrambler. Still would think that the road should pass perpendicular to the track. (Someone actually mentioned probably a hundred pages ago that maybe they would open that road up for foot traffic to get to Fury.) I kinda doubt that but....I guess we'll have to wait and see what they do.

Sounds like someone needs to take a quick look at some of the arial video and photos to see if there is something that stands out. The queue lines don't go back that far do they?

I looked at the foundation drawings.

That support straddles the access road as it turns towards Hurler. The remaining straight portion of the access road runs parallel to the footers for the brake run.
