I've heard these types of complaints, mostly from old-timers "The B&M roar didn't used to bother me as much back in the day, but it does so a lot more now...". I'd say get some cheap earplugs. Same thing when attending loud concerts...

Both ends of the B&M rail are capped. There are plenty of photos on RCDB, including of Intimidator that show the protectors off and the capped rails.

The only coaster track I have ever with the cone plug system is Swartzkopf(yes I know it is spelled wrong.)

Mack, Geratlauer, and possibly even MS do as well. Not necessarily a cone, but a male and female end.

All three of those manufacturers make portable coaster too, portable coasters(and rides) are designed to be put together by unskilled labor for as cheap as possible. I have seen a female connector on a running rail of a B&M coaster.

Do you think the temporary fence that they put in place under the lift hill today has something to do with Friday's unexpected visitors?

Proof of sand in the rails.
Edit: Broken link

I knew you guys would end up talking about this
It wasn't in the supports or the main spine of the track.

Edit: I am very smart. I was trying to make the video unlisted from my phone and managed to remove it  But it was me hitting the track, with a very muffled sound coming back. It felt very solid compared any other part of the ride.

A notable feature of Bolliger & Mabillard roller coasters is the box-section track. The running rails are connected to a box-section spine, instead of the circular spine used by other manufacturers. When a train travels around a box-section track, it creates a distinctive roaring sound, which is unique to this style of track. However, on some Bolliger & Mabillard roller coasters, such as Talon at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, the track is filled with sand to reduce this noise

I sure hope they aren't filled! I want to hear the roar!! Guest Services can use amplified speakers similar to banks!

The people working the south gate manage to work with Afterburn running nearby. The folks at the main entrance will probably be ok with Fury making noise.
