The line for Nighthawk in 2004 was 4+ hours long, I imagine the line Fury 325 will be just as long. I am already figuring it will be midsummer before I step foot in line for Fury 325, all depends on what Intimidator says on each visit first.

I doubt a late opening but in my case it could helpful.

The line for Nighthawk is still 4+ hours. Okay, not really but it does stay really long.

I'm going to shoot for a weekday visit either during spring break the week before Easter or on the Monday after Easter. Granted that's opening week but I think that will be the least busiest time I will be able to find that wont interfere with school.
Weekends are gonna be WAY too busy for my taste.

Well I just booked my flight last night, so safe to say I would be pretty disappointed by a late opening.

Since the coaster is just several track pieces away from being complete, though, there is absolutely no reason to fear that.

as far as track construction I would agree, but front gate, not so sure about. so many unfinished projects, I believe last time I looked at the cam they were starting work on the center piece. The bridge/tunnel sits there untouched. Not sure if they are letting the concrete cure or what but that would be a huge factor of whether Fury opens on time or not.

.

I've been waiting for over a year for this, a few hours in line wont kill me. Maybe that's just because this will be the tallest coaster I've ever ridden too.

I would not worry about the bridge. once the concrete cures, they can lay the deck in a day. Remember that the bridge will be THE MAIN entry point for everyone that parks between the North and South Gates. They'll get that finished I'm sure. Remember they have 2 whole months. They build interstate bridges in less time than that. Nothing I have seen says that everything wont be ready on time for the front gate.

If they raised it just a little so we could see the peak of Fury, they could keep CAM1 there forever!

Although this is a great view and could be considered the final move for Cam 1, I would kind of like to see them move it to the station and transfer area. I would like to see how that area is coming along. Also they may be able to fit the Coke Marketplace construction and the Fury plaza construction as well in that view. But once those trains are on the track we must have a full view of the lift because I will be watching the first time this thing goes over the top!

Lines for opening day will most likely be insane. With Banshee being a record breaking coaster in 2014, they had at least a four hour line. I saw a picture of the line stretching all the way over to the Eiffel Tower at the centre of the park (and every other line was insanely long as well. With this being the tallest giga coaster in the world, the only thing that will save them from running through to the next morning is B&Ms amazing capacity.

And I can't believe people are still unsure about opening on time! Yesterday morning they had sixteen track pieces left to install, and they're already down to about eight left! The bridge will be quick to get in, but it just might not be fully touched up (landscaping, etc.) for opening. This goes for the whole entrance, but they will do their best to get it looking pretty for media day. Assuming nothing goes wrong, everything will be ready by 3/25 (albeit, with some small 'seams' still visible).

Also, I apologize for my derailment earlier. I'm a young filmmaker, so when someone says anything about movies, I instantly latch onto it  (though my comment did still involve the live cams and was responding to someone else's comment). I think you guys have realized by now where the "rant" part of my user name comes from! :P

I don't think it will be anything like Kings Island, for a few reasons.

-Kings Island gets a million more visitors each year than Carowinds
-Kings Island opens a month later than Carowinds
-There is more of an awareness and culture of amusement parks in Ohio

That said, I would definitely expect a pretty huge crowd. It certainly won't be like Intimidator opening day where the line was ridiculously short, unless of course the weather is terrible.
