I have a vague recollection of this already being addressed, but is the chain return on these newer B&Ms built into the track?

For example, on Intimidator you can see the chain return running from the top of the lift to the base:

maybe its like this. install a link, connect it to a cable and run that cable over the lift and back down to the bottom where they connect it to the wench. then they pull the connected links through the whole course with that cable?

Yeah, sounds like it runs back down through the spine

I couldn't be more thrilled that Fury has finally been completed! Only 56 more days until opening!!!!!

Side note, is anyone getting redirected to malware only when viewing Carowinds Connection. I'm on a Chromebook so I think this is a CC problem, not a personal one.

The 60,000 hours is man hours. So, if there are 60 people working on the project, then each works an average of 1,000 hours. Very doable. A full time job is 2,080 hours in a year, there's almost half a year of construction time, so it makes sense.

We were invited to help cover the completion of Fury 325 track.

Image
The sheer size of this coaster amazes me each time I see it.

Image
As we head towards the station there are lots of things to notice along the way.

Image
There are some great head choppers...

Image
...a trim brake...

Image
...an access road wide enough for my grandmother to drive a truck through...

Image
...the infamous footer (that had to be replaced since it was more than 3mm outside the template)...

Image
...and just a great looking ride no matter which section you study.

Image
Here's a shot from a different angle.

Image
Everywhere you look there is work going on.

Image
While we're waiting, here's a shot of the queue line.

Image
...where there will be shade.

Image
And in other news...

Image
Hello

Image
The colors are really growing on me.

Image
...and the architecture is amazing.

Image
The moment we've been waiting for. The construction crew signs the final piece.

Image
Mike says it's time.

Image
The crew is in place and the lift begins.

Image
It's official. Piece 162.

Image
The crew continues to lift it in place despite gusty winds.

Image
Well, almost in place.

Image
They continue to guide it into place.

Image
We're nearly there. Is the suspense killing you? I could go on for awhile...

Image
Well Mike and the rest of the media look on in suspense...

Image
We're almost there...

Image
The workers finish tightening the bolts on the first side...

Image
And we're finished. The final bolts are being put into place and Fury 325 has a complete circuit.

Image
Like I said, these colors are growing on me.

Image
Mike stopped to remind us that this is not a parking lot coaster. Most of the people there didn't have a clue as to what he meant. A few of us stopped to get pictures, though.

Image
No matter where you looked, there was work going on, from torquing bolts...

Image
...to touching up paint...

Image
...while T Rex kept an eye on things.

Image
Did I mention there is a trim?

Image
The entire place is a construction zone.

Image
Treble Clef anyone?

Image
The crews are doing their best to make sure Fury 325 opens on time.

Image
They did announce a new Fury 325 cup holder.

Image
...and a trim. I don't care but it kept standing out to me.

Image
A panorama shot of Fury 325 from the entrance plaza.

Image
I spy...

Image
The one thing you can be sure of, Fury 325 will open this spring.

I have more pictures to post about the front entrance which I'll do in that thread.

The return chain runs directly beneath the chain that goes up the lift. They are literally within 12 inches of each other. I think it's pretty cool though. It's the same for Leviathan.

And great pictures! I love to see Fury from different angles.
