The final section of track was about 30 feet long and weighed more than 13,000 pounds. A crane lifted the teal-colored track into place, and Daniel Doster of Lando put the final bolts into place. Each bolt was “torqued” with 590 pounds per foot. By comparison, auto engine parts are typically torqued from 3 to 16 pounds per foot during assembly. Mosley Erecting Company of Richburg assembled the 192 track sections.

Actually surprised the torque is only 590. At my work we have bolts that are torqued over 1000 ftlbs. Different application maybe? Torque

Don't thank me, thank good ol' Hans Zimmer, but thank YOU David for your diligence and dedication to recording this project for prosperity. Saving a seat for you if you can make it down this spring. :D

Hi Jonathan. Here is a screenshot of what I've gotten a few times today while going through some of the threads. It would usually come up when I would click the link to go to the next page. Just thought I'd show you what I (and some others) may be getting. I tried to send this in a pm but it wouldn't allow any of the picture formats I tried to use.

^ yes, that's the same thing that happened to me, only i'm fairly certain the site that took over my browser (many times when viewing CC) was a different url. It was prompting me to download software.

Needless to say, if anyone else is experiencing this please be sure not to click it, just exit the page.

I was looking all around, and I keep seeing two numbers popping up when talking about total track pieces. Obviously, this is track piece 162, but many news outlets are reporting 192 total track pieces. I just do not want to get this detail incorrect. There certainly is not just 30 track supports and [somehow] get included in the mix. I'm going to look through the information I have received since the announcement. Anybody?

Well, judging in where they started the erection. They stopped at the end of the brake run. If that is numbered as piece one, then this is piece 162. But I am not for certain that this is true. But I'm gonna go with 162.

They haven't moved CAM2 (and won't) because they are doing a super time lapse of the area and don't want to mess it up.

They moved the whole skytower cabin up to the top. I thought the cams were inside of the skytower cabin, right? But looking back at older time laspes from DavidW, it seems like the camera angle is the same. I don't know... I'm confused.
