Here is the official word directly from Mike: "First they thread a cable through the chain channel, around the top and back through the chain return. The chain comes in smaller sections, I'm not sure how long, maybe 6' or 8'. They use master links to piece the sections together. The chain is REALLY heavy. They attach the cable to the chain and pull the chain through the channel using a crane. It took 2 days to install. The chain is now complete. The Travel Channel captured some footage, so I think it will be in the episode."

And there you have it!

Well now that we have confirmation that the chain is complete and that the trains will be installed within the next few weeks, I think it is safe to say that we will have testing by mid-late February or early March.

Yes, some of us will miss the amazing pics, stats, engineering and progress of this huge undertaking. Those that won't surely didn't need to post on this thread... they need to drum up more pictures for the "put a face to the name" thread

91 degrees! That is going to be one heck of a turn around. I took several pictures of that at the WWU but still can't grasp the many angles from the bottom of the turn around to the "under the bridge" section. There are many a twist in play.

Besides the awesome drop, is the one element I am looking forward to. I am thinking a long and sustained floater air section.
