I just got word from Mke that the park has decided to scrap plans for Fury opening this year as it now won't be finished till 2016. The front gate won't be finished either.

No media day.

Sorry.

No.... Haha

Hope it doesn't slow things down too much. At least they are ahead of schedule!! Here in Lexington today we had only 12 degrees all day long and a foot of snow. It was wild!

I'm not quite sure why you guys are thinking this will delay anything. You are crazy to think that a big name company wouldn't account for a couple of snow days. North Carolina gets 1, maybe 2, storms a year at best. I'm sure Mike and his crew had planned snow situations out before construction began. How can a team who is constructing a world class coaster forget to account for a few snow days??

It's all sarcasm. Everything will be just fine. They know what they're doing and the schedule allows for missed days. Everything will be finished on time.

I had a dream last night that Carowinds had decided to combine the "big splash" for 2016 with this year's updates. So, when we went to media day, we all found that Fury had been converted to a water coaster and the first drop had been made into a splashdown.
