Locker rental is just for your time in line and while your riding Fury 325. It's just a short term rental to place your loose articles during the ride.

Are you SERIOUS? That is absolutely absurd. Will not be doing or supporting that practice.

Well don't go to a Universal. Sea World or Busch Garden park. That is standard practice there.

When i say I'm not supporting that practice i mean the locker. Not the ride or the park. If everyone travels light and refused to buy a locker for the first few months we could stamp this nonsense out. But people are sheep and will buy and do anything so it's hopeless.

All this locker discussion is really silly. Ok the park will make some money off the use of them; I'm fine with that. We're not paying Universal or Disney prices to come enjoy the park. Most of us on this site have (or will have) passes that include parking so the complaints are just a bit excessive. The lockers will most likely be $.50-$1 an hour. We've been spoiled at Carowinds with bins in the station so I understand why some are a bit put out.

Personally I feel safer using a pay-per-use locker than leaving my camera, phone, drink/cup or whatever else in the station where someone could "accidentally" pick it up; regardless of how the park staff handle the bins. If this is successful for Fury 325, I can see lockers making their way to others like Intimidador, Afterburn and Nighthawk. This would be less stressful on rides personnel in the station that can focus more on your safety and actual ride duties instead of worrying about that cup or whatever you left on the platform. It shouldn't be their responsibility to babysit your items...which they aren't even liable for if they go missing in the first place.

I have personally decided to take Rollerbees advice and forego riding Fury. Ill just enjoy it at Media Day and then next year at Winter Warmup when there are no lines.

I know what you are referring to. It may be nonsense to you, but to others like myself it makes perfect sense (see post before this). If you know you don't want to pay for a locker, carry with you what you can get away with it...this sounds like you. Calling people sheep is a bit silly too.

These are not going to be like the all day lockers found at the front of the park and waterpark. They are smaller per ride usage lockers for a minimal fee. The ones for the coasters at Busch Gardens and Seaworld are $0.50 per use.

For those complaining of the lockers, just SHARE the locker with a friend or two riding with you, if they have to store their stuff too............ that will cut the cost per person significantly, and also make it possible to ride it more since the line will move faster............. that's just my 2 cents !

I don't think the lockers will be that bad. I think they'll help capacity. A shorter line and greater capacity is always appreciated by me. I spoke with an employee last April. He told me Intimidator would be getting seat belts. I didn't believe that, but the next weekend, there they were. This was the same employee that told me a giga coaster would be installed. I thought to myself, "man, he really isn't joking with me when he tells me all of this." He also told me that they were considering raising Intimidator's minimum height restriction and removing the station bins. I want to believe him, but I really don't think that's going to happen. Let's just wait and see how the lockers work and then we can discuss our opinions when we see how the policy works. Let's not jump to conclusions just yet. (:

As someone who never uses the bins on any ride, it is really frustrating to sit and wait for everyone to get on the train. Most people can put their stuff away quickly, but there is inevitably one or two people who slow things down. I'm glad to hear Fury 325 will not have bins in the station.
