Everyone who registered for Winter Warm Up got an RSVP email invite from me. If you want to attend and haven't responded to my email, you better step to it!

Psshhhht I responded like 20 minutes after you sent it out. Cannot wait for the day to get here. The best I can hope for is just decent weather that day.

I like the way lockers were handled at Kennywood for the exterminator. Lockers could only be accessed from the entry line only (you had to be in line to use them), they had an employee making sure that people using the lockers were riding, and the lockers were free. If a locker was used for too long (not sure how they tracked it, but they had electronic terminals) then it was locked until the hourly rate was paid. Sure it required one more employee, but it was awesome not to have to pay.

They were keypad based like at millennium force, but you could just go open one, type in a pin, and put your stuff in. My guess is that all of the lockers were pre loaded with however the current line was plus ~30 mins, and after that you had to pay to unlock them.

My wife just pointed out this as well: The lockers were at the point in the line that you'd been in line long enough that the lockers couldn't have been accessed by anyone not in line. Also, it was at a 'choke point' IE, there should only be X number of people between the lockers and the ride. That way they never run out of lockers due to the line being too long, and the exit ramp lets you visit the lockers before you completely leave the exit area.

Either the LED's are burnt out at the bottom or something is blocking them on the lift. I can't tell this morning due to the fog.

Yep, this is basically how these things should work if they are 100% about improving capacity and not nickle and diming people who weren't expecting it.

I went back a few pages here on the forums and found this!
Guess y'all weren't that far off with your rumors back in 2012!

I'm not saying I agree with charging for the lockers but it may be just to discourage people from bringing so much stuff into the park. Especially since the new entrance will seem to be lighter on security. They are building a new parking lot that is much closer and more accessible to leave stuff in cars.
