That's usually the way they want it. There is a reason most parks kill their web cam feed and do the first test runs at night. They aren't trying to be secretive about it, but if someone was to happen (valley, crash, restraint fail and eject a water dummy, etc) they don't want their brand new, star attraction getting bad publicity on the nightly news.

Remember when SFOG did some of their first test runs on DeJa Vu in broad daylight? Yeah... no one wants to worry about that happening. And while that incident didn't make it into the news (that I recall), it did get around enough that most everyone knew about it.

Well at least they didn't take them down yet. Glad they tested transfer yesterday, guess it was successful

Can't wait to see what happens today, temps will be good at least.

I'm guessing they only have enough water dummies for one train.... that will probably take awhile to transfer them to the other trains when they are tested. Are those dummies wearing seatbelts?

questions popping up on Fehnel's Twitter this morning :)

When does Fury325 testing begin?

Opening day will be fun, but when does FURY325 testing start?

No, Fury! I saw you guys moving the train on the storage track yesterday, but can't see anything right now, the webcam is foggy!

I think Mike needs to jump on #3 right now!

Serious question here: If the water in the water dummies froze, would the dummies split open? If the dummies are filled with just water and freezing temperatures are a common occurrence, one would think that either a) there is no damage to the dummies if the water freezes (enough space in the dummies for the water to expand) or b) it's not just water that is used to fill the water dummies (some mixture of water and something that would lower the freezing point).

If you look closely, you can see that they are not completely full.
And no, they are not wearing seat belts. I think that there is a way for them to physically attach to the seat (plus the lap restraint too). But I am not 100% sure of this.

I'm excited for testing to start, but I won't be bugging Mike Fehnel with tweets about when it's gonna happen. There's a little part of me that wishes he would respond to one of the tweets with something like "We can test when you people leave me alone long enough to focus on that instead of responding to your effin tweets!" ;)
