I know it is this way for Intimidator, and I believe it is this way for any cedar fair ride. For any evac (except on a final brake run) the coaster is supposed to be locked in place with a type of wheel chocks. For intimidator all guests in that row had to have a fall restraint on and clipped onto the rail before that car was opened. You would start at the first car you got to, walk that group down, then go start on the next car.... 4 people at a time, everybody with fall restraints.
