General Carowinds discussion

Leviathan was probably mounted to the car whereas Fury's was mounted to the water dummy. That's the reason it was shaky and visibly showed airtime. As far as I'm concerned, it was a great POV for the first test run and it was WAY more of a video than I was expecting.

The reason why the video shakes so much is because the camera was mounted to one of the water dummies. Obviously they are not capable of holding theirselves in the seat, so it shakes and rattles freely. That's probably why the park opted for NO audio, because the camera shook so much (due to the water dummy), that it made too much noise.

This is just a guess. However, I am very happy that they gave us a POV shot when they could have very well left us in the dark like Jarvis said.

For all we know this was indeed professionally shot from the ground and yet unseen. Which if done properly would be tricky due to its size requiring multiple vantage points, in the middle of a construction zone, all within a moment’s notice, and publishing it immediately without proper post-production?

Poor taste for any Federico Fellinis to spontaneously look a gift horse in the mouth.

Did anyone else see the salty comments on the pov video? One guy said"it looks great but not the best ride of 2015, it might be a contender though"..... i died laughing. It really is amazing to me how there are fanboys everywhere who cant appreciate cool looking rides just because they arent at their park. I guess it just proves that their are literally mindless fans for everything. Anyway that first drop looks amazing and soooo fast. Cant wait to ride on the back of the train. now that will be a drop.

Have you ever seen Leviathan's first POV video? Smooth as a baby's butt. Carowinds could've done the same, but they didn't. It's OK, I was just pointing out my slight disappointment that the video didn't turn out as well as it could. I am thankful they gave us something, is that what you want me to say?

Was leviathan's video shot on the very first time the train made a circuit? I'm very happy they gave us anything. I'm sure that there will be a much higher quality POV later. Also, footage shot from the ground will be in part of the documentary that is being made for this coaster, do you think that Cedar Fair would want to piss off people promoting their ride for free by releasing all of the footage of the coaster before the documentary is on TV?

The giant sleeps... now they have 20 days to dial-it-in and perfect it. I just hope they can squeeze 96mph+ out of it when it is warmed up. I don't want it to be tied at 95, any they'll have to change a lot of advertising if it comes in slower.

The tunnel will be much cooler day and night with the hexagons down there. That was one head chopper moment that looked thrilling. Also, that one support in the helix is a crazy head chopper, I almost ducked my head watching the video haha.
