After seeing the comparison I have a couple of observations.

The lift is much slower in real-life but the ride and the animation were almost identical... about dead-on until the turnaround.
After the turn-around, the trip through the tunnel and over the path were faster in real life. That leads me to believe the trim did engage. Also, if you notice, after the trim, the train was SLIGHTLY slower and the animation caught up and passed it and arrived at the BRAKE run just a tad ahead of real-life. Awesome job to the animation software for the predictability on the speed. I can't wait to ride this monster!!! (I wonder if they had a radar gun aimed at the train on the first drop?)

^^That's what I thought at first, but I think that the camera just had a wider lens or something which made that support look like it's too close when in reality, it's much farther away of course.

Yea it also looks like the support beam coming down from the first turn is hitting the bottom of the helix track :shifty:

The "faster" lift in the animation is a trick. They just edited the lift portion of the animation because that long lift would make for a boring start to the animation. Watch the top of the hill as you are climbing in the animation. Half of the lift hill just... disappears... as you climb. Then you are at the top much faster!

Maybe this pic was from the first run, and they mounted the camera on the 2nd?

Im just putting this out there...you know what would be cool...of someone can do a side-by-side of fury 325 and leviathan's initial runs to see how they compare ride wise, not quality of production because, ya know...the "film critics" here are like waiting sharks...matter of fact, since this board is full of Peter Jackson and Michael Bay prodigy's, maybe one of them can do it!

I believe thats the seatbelt.. :|[/quote]

I thought that too, but there don't seem to be any on any of the other rows.
It's hard to tell though.
