Fun observation...watch the end of the video after the helix and notice the shadows that the track supports make on the box frame. It's really noticeable at the location where they had to redo the footing. Just pause it as it approaches that support.

(Yep, may as well start the next big thing.)

That head chopper in the helix caught me off guard!

If you compare it to the animations it appears that it did. I don't think the trim is gonna be an issue as long as they don't trim it so far as to eliminate the airtime at the top of that camelback. Trim it enough to make it safe but leave enough so that we get good airtime!!!

Now ya'll are making MY head hurt.

Anyways, the POV looks amazing. I can't wait until the grass is in, the lights are on, and we can get day and nite rides on our first evening for the season pass preview. Should be a fun time.

The trim brake was more than likely off during these first initial tests. Don't want anything that might cause it to valley.

If the trim wasn't on then the ride will be even slower through the helix and final humps. I was thinking the reverse that the trim would be on at a certain speed to prevent it going over the hill and helix too fast and then they negotiate up from there. Surely, if they can be THAT exact on the animations, they can know that if a train comes through there at "X"mph it will certainly make the brake run and not valley.

Still, lets get the parts warmed up and broken in and make a run at at the upper 90's. We'll all come back to the station without our heads and hands as they will be splattered against the bridge and helix supports!! JK. It always LOOKS closer than it actually is.

Once it breaks in and the temps go up the speed will most definitely increase. The trim is to help keep it from going faster than designed through the last third of the course. I would suspect that the trim won't be used at all until the temps stay regularly in the 70's/80's. Remember - there isn't a mid-course brake run so they can't slow it too much there or it won't finish the course.

I think they should add a pov camera that you can wear while you ride or attached to the train itself that takes video footage of you riding. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to purchase video of you on the ride your expressions etc not just only pictures. I remember when I first got on sky coaster the bungee thing they took video footage and I brought it for memories and I still watch it to this day.

^ I think I've heard of some coasters offering videos of people while they ride... the new Skyscraper in Orlando will offer that...

"In an upgrade of the typical screaming coaster photo, they'll be able to purchase video of their rides."
"Each rider is captured on video as they experience the Skyscraper and the videos can be transferred to phones, Facebook, Instagram, so they can be shared with friends."

don't pick your nose...lol

When I rode "Autobahn" at Busch Gardens Williamsburg a couple years ago they had a POV camera. Pretty neat!

That's pretty good. Video 1 at 26 and Video 2 at 37 gets them about right on.
