General Carowinds discussion

Hey everyone it's me, I have a couple of questions that I want to ask about Funpix and how it works. I was reading an article about Funpix on the Coaster101 Website that was written in September of last year. The article explained which rollercoasters took pictures and which locations throughout the park where you can scan a QR code to unlock special borders with the Carowinds app. What I want to know is has anyone had any trouble with scanning the QR code with their Mobile Device or is it as easy as the park says it is? I also want to know the article talked about kiosks near the on-ride photo sales, so I wanted to know can we scan the Funpix card ourselves after the ride at these kiosks or does a park employee do it for us? any answers would help thanks.

The Funpix card itself was hard to scan last season, it seemed like some scanners would scan on the first try while others took multiple trys. I believe it was at Crabbie Cabbie that the kiosk employee even had problems when they were trying to help.

My wife complained that the borders made the picture blurry and again some QR codes were easy to scan, some weren't.

Overall I recommend Funpix.

Thanks for the information, I'm sorry to hear that your wife ended up with a blurry picture, from what you have told me it sounds like some of the scanners don't read the card on the first try, I hope that Carowinds is able to fix this problem within the next few years.
