I think Carowinds has been missing a good wilderness / frontier themed section ever since I have been going to the park, I thinks Camp Snoopy will fill that void. I really hope Carowinds adds some new themeing to really make it good.

Ask your sources . . .

Jonathan, I agree. I like parks that are more rounded with rides for the whole family. I think this is just as good as last year. Can't wait to see how the park comes together in another couple years.

I guess you could argue that the Appalachians were at one point considered a "frontier", but generally it refers to the western US (this all of course ignoring that these places were already settled long before Europeans arrived).

Either way, I agree that this theme fits the area much better than Planet Snoopy, and I think it could look really nice.

So is it safe to say the Jr inverted isn't part of camp snoopy? I think that area sealed the deal when panda express came.

Great news.

1- I hope they open up the "Snack Shack" when the park opens.
2 - Wherever the gliders end up, hopefully they can put 2 people working it. The rare occasions when 2 people are working the ride, the turnover is significantly better.

While on face value I'm disappointed that we don't get a coaster( don't worry I didn't expect one lol) I think this is a really great move.

I've had several friends tell me that their young children find Carowinds inferior in what they were able to ride compared to other parks.

The parks attendance is not made up of thrill seekers(unfortunately) so this is actually great news in my eyes. And it'll help bring in money to pay for a nice thrill ride down the line. I think we'll be waiting till 2020-2021 for that though.

Can't wait to try winter fest out.

I'm thinking Vortex could be open as late as 2020 depending on when they get the hotel open.

As for my thoughts on this section, I'm very pleased with it! We get to keep the train, the landscaping will look even better than it already is, and over all it's just really going to fit that side of the park. I just wish they hadn't repainted Woodstock Express recently, it would look good in brown in Camp Snoopy. Overall, total win for the park!
