Sometimes you don't know what you want until you get it. Look beyond what you can physically see . . .

I know I will get crucified for this but we are all throwing out speculations.....what about dueling coasters, one station begins on the currect construction area and the other begins in the Dino alive area both coasters match each other just in reverse and each coaster ends up in the other coasters station at the end.....far fetched I know but just ideas cuz I know nothing....haha

Dinosaurs won’t be affected, the plot for Project Alpha is only 5 acres which is about the size of the clearing right now. If I had to bet I’d say most of that Dinosaurs Alive land will be used for Camp Snoopy.

I KNOW RIGHT! I've been disappointed so many times in life because of hyping something up too much, so I just hope all this hype is for a real big "hype-worthy" coaster/project. I said "/project" because we know 1 coaster isn't gonna cut it with this expansion. Probably a new restaurant or two, or a refurbishment of the crossroads area will be more... of an "expansion" if you will for the 2019 season. But, I'm not THAT experience, as you know because I need help trying to insert a photo into this. And plus can someone tell em how to do that? I'm sorry I just wanna be able to post pics.

On mobile, go to ‘Add Files’. Not on desktop, so I can’t remember.

At this point though, the park has yet to acknowledge what they are doing for 2019 besides the hotel. If you feel it is going to be overhyped or disappointing, remember that you are responsible for placing such high expectations on whatever the new attraction is. Even the most knowledgeable users on this forum haven’t speculated this to be anything larger than a new coaster and the relocation of the gliders (which in and of itself is a pretty sizeable addition).

I will continue to "Look beyond what I can physically see . . ." and continue to hope for a tunnel coaster to the grassland between the parking lot and the highway. Even then, it could STILL be a wood coaster, it could STILL be a launch coaster, and it could STILL have a top hat. Although a top hat isn't necessarily an element that I would put into my bucket of wants. but I wouldn't throw it away either. I do hope one thing... that it's sufficiently long. One thing I've hated about launches is that most of them are too short. Give us a launched Thunderhead or something like that. I wouldn't balk at a ground up RMC either.

Thanks so much safetyman sam and tarheel. And tarheel I think I just need to work on not setting high expectations for a lot of things in life, then the disappointment of feeling of failure will be less occurring. Thank y'all!

Considering how early they are starting this project means it is going to be something big or they have to get this done quicker because they are building something else. But since everything has been torn up and it is practically all dirt now, I think they will begin really working on this project soon

Yeah, they really are getting ride o a lot of trees fairly quickly. It's good to know I'm not the only person who thought this construction was way earlier than usual. I think in 2014, the clearing for Fury started in June vs. this project in which the clearing started in late March.

I think, as it has been mentioned, did to the shorter off season they have to do what they can over a stretch of time. Also, this is the first "in park" coaster since Cobra and that was like 10 years ago. I think we won't start seeing track show up until after it's announced but we should still see some heavy construction during winterfest but generally during the week.
