Looking at Gerstlauer launched coasters, I noticed that a lot of them seem short. I hope that if we get one of these it will be very long and full of action like Mack launch coasters to fill up all the space back there

Personally if the park is going to get a gerstlauer coaster I think it would be better off to tear down vortex and put it there instead of the 2019 spot

Manufacturers design based on client wants and needs, I'm sure the manufacturer Cedar Fair / Carowinds chose jumped at the chance to design and showcase their ride on a large 3 - 5 acre plot of land. Also, I'd be completely in favor of removing both vortex and Nighthawk and filling that prominent spot with something new.

What he said too. Remove them both for a new coaster in 2021 or 2022 and redo the entire area adding a large lake under the new coaster and around the skytower. Continue revamping by adding a lakeside cafe on the "other side" of the lake from the new ride entrance with scenic lake views and great views of the coaster.

It seems like a Vortex conversion is in the pipeline for the next off-year that Carowinds has, so it’s likely safe. Nighthawk I’m not so sure. Both are probably fairly safe.

Take this with a grain of salt but I have a friend that I work with that visited the park recently and was told by an employee that what they are hearing is some type of launch coaster.....again take it for what it's worth not saying I believe it

Oh yeah if Gerstlauer is doing this, it's going to look awesome at night.
