I do see a hangtime ride happening maybe this year but I wouldn’t think they would use such a big plot of land for a very compact coaster unless they would make it more spread out. To me I think a hangtime coaster could go in the place of Vortex because vortex is just too short of a ride even with floorless trains it wouldn’t be the best Carowinds could do and considering they most likely aren’t converting it this year and following every 2 years they would convert one I don’t think it’s happening.

Doesn't have to be as compact as hangtime... I'm expecting a ride similar to style of it though (Gerstlauer Infinity with numerous inversions). Mind you we may be seeing the Flyers (and breakdance...?) In that spot.

Whoever the manufacturer is, I’d much rather see something along the lines of Icon at BPPB with lots of snappy, low to the ground twists.

I am going to Carowinds on Saturday and i’m gonna go in the sky tower and get a lot of good views of all of the construction going on. I’m also gonna go down the whole construction wall looking for marks and things like that.

I probably wont go to the park this weekend for once so I am looking forward to seeing what others post and see. Im sure a lot has happend since I was there last Saturday. Theres not a lot to see on the fence line, but you never know what new stuff may have turned up. There are some markings on the ground near bumper cars. Love all the speculation and guesses, but luckily no trees will be harmed during the making of our new ride :D Looking forward to seeing the pictures from this weekend, anyone going to the park today?? I wish the webcam would move to the construction area..

No Carowinds for me this weekend either, maybe the weekend after but I would rather wait for the waterpark to open.

^ When I logged into Carowinds.com, I only see the Camp Snoopy webcam. Fury cam has been removed so maybe they are repositioning for 2019 Project Alpha.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly why they took Fury's webcam down from the website. Also they're finally doing some teasing for the new coaster!

****I was the one who made the red markings by the way

I mentioned the webcam in the General Park thread and Hiveminded post a direct link to the webcam. It's still looking at Fury, just moved a little to include the Palladium.

This might be the earliest they've ever started teasing (for a coaster).

Also, ignore the clearing going on across the street from the parking lot. That has been confirmed to be an unrelated warehouse project for the Lakemont Business Park.

What’s up everyone! I’ve been checking in on these forums daily, but never posted anything until today.

Like everyone else, I am very excited for this 2019 project, and have been watching the discussion closely. I visit the park at least once a week, usually in the mornings. I happened to take some pictures of the construction area from atop sky tower, but was not able to get any ground level pictures. Enjoy the pictures, and I look forward to speculating with you all!
