After seeing the Panthers today, i'd think not.

There's a few on my facebook page. (maxservo65) Nothing earthshaking. I hardly ever do ptrs anymore.

This is my first post about the new coaster Intimidator. I am so excited about it. I will be flying all the way from Hawaii for opening day. Everything seems so awesome about the coaster, I am so glad Carowinds is getting something so big, they really need a signature attraction like this. I must say I have no complaints. At least not about Intimidator I do hope they paint Vortex something else so they arent so close in color. Hooray for Carowinds. :D

Wow all the way from hawaii? Is carowinds your home park? I am sure it will be worth the trip! I hope to be able to go to KD to ride intimidator 305, although I dont think its going to be as fun due to the layout but it will still be an intense ride!

Yes Carowinds is my home park. I was born in North Carolina, but got married and moved to hawaii=No roller coasters LAME! I come back every year to support my home park. I was a little late this year but I made it for Cobra which its a love hate relationship for me.

^ I find the Cobra to be really WTF intense in the front and back seats. Just as I catch my breath from the G's going forward, you get crushed through that backwards loop... awesome ride with the new restraints imo.

As for Intimidator, I don't think you'll be disappointed following your flight. It really looks like it will be the amazing coaster that we've all been waiting for.

Actually the reason why I say its a love and hate with Cobra. Is because it was a lot of fun, smooth, fast and didnt bang my head. I also like the way it looks and the landscaping. But I have never rode a regular boomerang that was my first. For some reason it made me really dizzy but only backwards, when I rode the giant bommerang at SFOG rip :x .... it Did not. Ok sorry for the off topic back to Intimidator.

I concur... the Cobra is the first boomerang to make me say "Whoa... that was intense" when I got back into the station. Even the Deja Vu's didn't/don't pull that many intense vertical G's whilst tossing you around like a ragdoll.

Back to the construction of Intimidator....

I guess that is just the way the manufacturers do it? It also looks like intimidators transfer is going to be narrower than diamondbacks, I am wondering if our storage shed will just hold 2 trains... if you look at the pictures of DB you will see 3 X's on the transfer but ours only has 2.

Looking at the web camera, it looks like the right side of the shed is longer than the left and could therefore possible hold two trains on the right and one train on the left?

The lift hill supports and track are on site next to Thunder Road. They've been there for a few days now. :)

We talked about that a whole bunch of pages back, i said it then before stuff went vertical, its the same as Behemoth

From page 36/37:

TadTAz wrote:Its funny, you actually drew exactly how Behemoths transfer track area is,

Its pretty hard to argue against three trains when you can match every single footer for a transfer shed that goofy shaped like what we have poured here and there. Not saying its not possible but for sake of cost savings to B&M if they already have two proven designs of shed layouts (wide and narrow?) why go trying to make another when you can basically copy and paste that part from behemoth.
