Edit: I just came to the conclusion that when FURY 325 opens Carowinds will hold the record for the park with most CUSTOM B&M coaster in the world. The park with the most B&M coasters is SFG Adventure with 5 but 3 out of the 5 are clones and 1 is relocated.

We will also be home to the two tallest B&Ms in the US.

Also, what's the plans for the North Gate. I believe Jay mentioned something about it but I missed the announcement.

A complete overhaul is in store for the North Gate. The plantation house will be demolished and there will be better facilities fro the guests.

I was told that they are supposed to start taking out the plantation house during Scarowinds? So maybe in October if not sooner..... I was also told the toll booths are supposed to be open by labor day, so we will see.

:D One of the original members. 9th I believe. Took a little time off for life but still around.

I figured the toll booths would open soon. As fast as they have knocked it out so far.

It's going to be pretty awesome going to the park for the first fist in 2015. Times are a changing and I believe it is great for the future of Carowinds. On our way to a destination park. Just the sound of Destination" is awesome. More revenue, better things.

Ahhh, there are all the familiar usernames that I remember! Guess i skimmed a little too lightly, haha. Glad to see you guys are still kickin'.

Kinda bummed about the plantation house being gone. I'm sure what's going in place will be more efficient, but still a bummer! I'm really happy that Cedar Fair has been steadily improving the park so much the past few years. Very excited for the parks future.

I guess I knew that. I always think of it as the main gate. When the term North Gate was used , I confused it with the South Gate. Any idea on it's plans?

That's the one question I forgot to ask. I know that they'll have to use it this season for Scarowinds due the the traffic flow. The North gate demolition will be well under way by late September or so. I will admit that the South Entrance was not on my mind during the day at the park yesterday. I had Fury and Intimidator on my mind, but mostly Fury.

Aren't these discussions supposed to be in "Other 2015 Changes"?. (Question mark inside or outside of quotes)?
