It would be absolutely brutal if they are teasing the excellent Centurion name as a red herring and the ride actually ends up being "Fury 325." Hopefully they are being straightforward with this one and it does indicate Centurion.

Why would they make such a big announcement on a Thursday? On a day that the park is closed on top of that doesn't seem to make much sense.

The "Rome wasn't built in a day..." comment isn't referring to just 2015. Think about it, they are referring to Carowinds' future and how this new Carowinds is going to be a long term expansion/development deal.

The Rome wasn't built in a day and the Eighth wonder of the world teaser are referencing all the work being done as a whole at the park and not necessarily teasing the new coaster. Name is definitely not a lock to be Centurion in my opinion.

I think that we can pretty much forget about the "Fury 325" name because this coaster will be taller than 325 feet. With that said, 325 would not fit. Fury maybe but Fury 325.....ah no!

I gathered that they were kind of bummed they couldn't do it while the park was open. I'm guessing that something is keeping them from holding it a secret any longer than that date. Maybe the first piece of steel will arrive that day and the cat would be out of the bag?

^I think we all did... There is nothing to suggest this coaster will be any taller than 325 feet and I'm not convinced it will even be that tall (more in the range of 300-310 maybe).

Thursday seems to be a pretty typical announcement day. I think it's because they want to get it on the Thursday evening news and the Friday morning newspapers.
