General Carowinds discussion

The last time I checked Goldrusher had the Green and Red trains running on the track. I have seen the Green, Red, and Blue trains operate at the same times. It's been forever since I saw the Blue train. It must be in storage or taken apart for parts. I know Goldrusher once had a Gold train, but I've never seen it in my life. Does anyone know of the whereabouts of these trains?

<a href='http://members.aol.com/k9660r/speedway2.html' target='_blank'>Here</a> is a link to a picture of the Gold train. As I said, I've never seen it before in my life. I do know that there used to be a blue train.

I could be wrong, but I think one of the current trains it that train, just repainted. I think I remember seeing the blue train running at some point this year, but my memory isn't that great.

All Four of the Goldrusher's Trains <a href='http://members.aol.com/k9660r/goldrusher.html' target='_blank'>HERE</a>

I think they've evidently gotten rid of the Blue Train. Notice the new (replica)headlight on the front of the Red Train, which did not have one for years. They probably have it stored somewhere so they can use parts off of it to maintain the other two.

I kind of think that Four Trains was a bit unessasary for a somewhat short coaster. Apparently they wanted a few backups. Most [Arrow] Mine Trains I've seen have three trains, but this one had four.

BTW, could the Goldrusher ever operate more than two trains? I could see three, but I don't know if there is enough blocks on the ride.

Yes, I've seen three operate at the same time. They usually stop a train at the top of a lifthill waiting for the other train to clear a section.

I think we can end this discussion with the fact that nobody's ever seen/ridden on the gold train.

I was a team leader in area four of the park-Boardwalk and Thrill Zone. Just to let you know, the blue train is in storage in the maintanace storage room behind the Cyclone. I was moved around in area four and worked with Goldrusher. They are currently rebuilding the blue train to provide new seat belts and then when it is finished, blue is theoretically going back on track. They will then take either red or green off and redo the seat belts on there. Hopefully, it will be done over the winter.
