Does anybody know the current admission price to carowinds, also, how has the admission price changed over time?

In 1977, it was more in the $8-10 range. Not $23. Maybe in 1993 though.

Well, according to my 1977 Park Guide/Brochure, it clearly says:

"All Rides, Shows and Exibits are included for $7.00. Children Three years old and under are admitted Free. No Rainchecks or Refunds. Does not include Charges for Featured Paladium Entertainment."

On The front, there's a picture of Thunder Road, and on the bottom, a picture of Magic Mountain's Revolution which represents White Lightnin. In The Middle, it says "Thunder & Lightnin', Twice the Frightnin'"

Perhaps your thinking of a different, more <a href='http://www.themeparkbrochures.com/main.html#ad' target='_blank'>up-to-date</a> year?

Was there ever a time when you paid per ride? It looks like they have a ticket booth in the quene for the Kaleidoscope.

I'm sure that Carowinds has always been on the one-price admission system. Most of the modern amusement parks that opened in the 70s used one-price admission, thanks to SFOT in 1961 and SFOG in 1967.

I believe the booth at the entrance to Kaleidoscope is where the controls are.
