What Theater is Carowinds using for this show? I'm guessing nick Central somewhere...

Yes. This show will be in the Nick Theatre. I'm i the only one who has not heard ot Marty or whatever? I don't thnk this is a Nick show but i could be wrong.

If it's not a Nick show then i'm a little worried about Nick coming back to the park next year. The Nick contract ends this June so we'll see soon enough what happens.

Meet the Nicktoons show returns so thats good.

I thought the Nick license ran out in June of 2010? However, I do know this it is not a Nicktoon. Sadly, I end up seeing Dora and other Nicktoons on my TV. Also, CanWon are confirmed that "Marty's Party" will play in Kidzville up there. I am checking the legacy parks now.

A quick bit of Google-fu turned this up:

http://www.martyputz.com/

In the Kid Zone on that site, there's a "Marty's Party" video - and in the bio there's a review of his show at Knott's Haunt. My guess is they got him to develop a show for their kids' areas inspired by his act. Could be decent enough for what it is, although having no idea who he was before the "Putz HQ" seemed really bizarre. Maybe he's big in Canada and / or with kids.

I was wondering just how Jeff was involved in all this. Glad someone posted some info before the Buzz took over Carowinds.

I "think" this is the theatre over by the SkyCopters and Scooby Doo Roller Coaster(I know, FOP, I'm old), where the Dora show was last year.

It is in the Nick Theater over by Sporticopters and Fairly OddCoaster, where the Dora show has been since 2005.

Coasterbuzz was the first thing that popped into my mind as well - best known Putz in amusement park circles I guess. (Insert your own joke here)

I just got through watching some of the kids videos on that site posted, as well as some of his other stuff. If Gallagher and Pee Wee Herman had a kid, this guy is it.

It seems like a cheap version of Carrot Top's show (if that is even possible).

I had forgotten about this when I went to the park Sunday, and was like What The :?: when I saw "Putz HQ" on a sign. Then I remembered this thread and what that was all about.

This show is absolutely NOT for kids! Not sure why they took the kid friendly Dora show away and put this garbage in its place. Don’t waste your time unless you want your kids to pick up some disrespectful language and actions. It is full of grown-up humor and innuendos and should NOT be attended by small children. I honestly think the people who made this decision do not have children of their own. Kind of like the waiter or waitress at the restaurant saying - the plate is really hot, then puts it smack down in front of your 3 year old.

I'll have to check out the show myself before I take your word for it. I mean, last year, a lot of adults were complaining about their teenagers seeing Dead Awakening...so we'll see.
