Hey everyone! once again I took it upon myself to start a new topic. I was wondering if anyone who drives by the park, or works in or near the park noticed any construction for dinosaurs alive, I know its not a '"tall" attraction, but you would think carowinds would start talking about some construction by now right?

Road Rally will be removed for DA, finally confirmed by Carowinds via Facebook. Here's hoping for a Planet Snoopy expansion l replacing DA one day. If my math is right, of the three car rides Carowinds had, the Speedway Cars lasted the longest and Road Rally tied with the Jalopies for 14 seasons.

It truly hurts me to see it go for Dinosaurs. Some of my first memories of Carowinds were made driving through that plot of trees, honking the little horn. Now I'm happier then ever that I took the time to ride it this year, but it shall sorely be missed. :(

I agree, they could have modifly Road Rally in the same fashion they did the train. DA is not worth the loss of Road Rally, and most likely AFX also.

Assuming we get the same Dinosaur movie that are in the other parks, it actually wasn't too bad. They took the simulator seats out, so they just cram people onto the flat benches. Spongebob was 10 years old, it was desperately time for a change.

Simulator rides are so 1990's anyway, I'd be happy if they tore the whole building down.

Here's some bonus information:

-The "Plaza Picnic Pavilion" is being named "The Grove"
-Each picnic shelter will be named after a tree
-A "VIP" of sorts picnic area will take over the rear patio of the Season Pass Enrollment Center
-Yes, more shelters are being built.

They ripped out all the rest of the trees in the park where else would it go. O wait there is still a few stragglers(trees) over in rapids, but probably not much longer.

I really hate to see the cars go, i remember riding those when i was a kid, and i am glad they stuck around long enough for my kids to ride as well.
