This looks AWESOME and I LOVE the name! Carowinds needs something like this so bad! I'm sure it will be very fun but not comparable with Fury as they are 2 different rides.

Oh, and the person that wrote "You have enough roller coasters, get something different" WTH?

For someone who has never been to Dollywood looks like I will be going there 2 years in a row. This year, in a couple weeks, and next year to Lightning Rod. I am most excited about the quadruple down. Can you say Hands Up!!!

^Same for me. I've never been there, but we'll go this fall at some point (we need to use the tickets from the wwu). And we'll definitely come back out next year for this.

If I was you I would save the free ticket and go during the Christmas festival and upgrade it to a season pass.

I plan to use my ticket to go to the ACE event in November (Smoky Mountain Coasterfest), and then upgrade to a season pass for next year while I'm there.

And like Mark, I think I'm most excited about the quadruple down. It looks amazing!

Tonya, that's what I was actually thinking about doing. Going to the ACE event and using the ticket. Josh already said that I can and we can register at the season pass rate.

I went to the event there last year and truly loved it. My plan is to leave right after school on Friday to drive down, do the Alpine Coasters that I haven't done yet on Friday night and then doing the event on Saturday. My 7 year old daughter is tall enough for all the rides at Dollywood, so I'm going to bring her with me. She loves going to ACE events.

Unfortunately I can't go in November. I will be in Clearwater Florida from October 3rd until mid December (if all goes well). So I will take the trek to Dollywood in a couple weeks.

You know, the the top of it looks crazy too. Launched over the lift, a little dip, then the big plunge. YeeHaa!!

I'll be using my wwu tickets as well, first ever trip to Dollywood bUT thinking of going with season passes for next year because of this ride.

Dollywood was one of my favorites before this but WOW. Thunderhead is actually my #3 overall coaster and this looks to be even better. Can't wait to get back out there.

Btw random thought but has anyone else been to their Christmas event? I went a couple years ago and its amazing. My favorite seasonal event in a park ever. I think it's even better that horror nights down at Universal.

We have been a few times. It is certainly our favorite Christmas event at a park.

The only Christmas celebration at a theme park I've enjoyed more than Dollywood was SDC. Both festivals (and both parks) are very similar. And the both do it up right!
