I don't think it's so much a "shift in attitude" as it is the fact that amusement rides, like any mechanical system, have a design life. What we've been seeing in the last decade or so is simply rides hitting the end of their design life, and it just doesn't make economic sense to invest millions of dollars to replace the ride system without making drastic changes to market it as a new ride. (unless you're Disney or Universal, but that's a little different)

Cedar Point getting a boat ride with live actors.
Guests will interact with the actors during the ride.
Snake River Expedition.

Could this be a clue for the future of the former Rip Roaring Rapids? :silent:

Cedar Point Has a lagoon for the boats around the island that they’re already using for frontier adventure thing. They can’t put boats in the narrow shallow troughs if RRR.

So no (though I’m sure Glitch will find a way to disagree).

Come on, mini versions of the gandolas in Venice would fit. Sort of. Maybe, kind of.
