General Carowinds discussion

I wish they'd put the picture at the mid-point on one of the airtime hills exactly as it launches the people out of their seats. That look of surprise as the train drops out from below people would be great on a photo, BUT it won't happen.

Following the helix is a good guess, this is Cedar Fair.

Cameras are usually mounted at lower points in the ride (for easier access) and at a point where the coaster has lost a major portion of speed, or isn't up to full-speed yet. (during Maverick's mid-launch, for example)

Not to be a thread hog, but I guess it's too late for that.. (Still got a long way to go, folks.)

Everyone that says that photos cannot do this coaster justice is absolutely correct. The sheer massiveness of even the second hill is breathtaking.

The shots of a lifetime are guaranteed for whoever can get to Scarowinds at 7PM (before it gets too dark), in the line for Final Summons. You'll see what I mean when you get there. I tried last night, but my flash doesn't reach 232 feet. But I did get a really cool shot of Davidtmp's hand:

I haven't posted here in a very long time.
But I just wanted to say, THERE IS SO TOTALLY GOING TO BE AIRTIME ON THE 2ND HILL. In the front row it will be amazing.
That is all I have to say for the moment. Construction looks great, I can't wait to ride this thing. Thanks for the pics everybody.
