Has anyone else noticed how mad people are about the trims? I dont even know if anyone has rode it since the trims were added? I think people are blowing this way out of proportion. Yea, it sucks that they are trimming it, but my god 4mph isnt going to make the ride DEAD, it will still be fast and I am sure intense.... I dont know, I will never know since I wont ever get to ride it at full speed, but hopefully I will get to ride it in its "trimmed" state... Seriously though those restraints look....weird.... I guess it would be more comfy than what it had before..

I'm going to be riding it again in a couple weeks so I can report the difference in a trimmed ride versus an untrimmed ride. I can say with fair confidence that the untrimmed ride was far too intense for the average coaster rider, and the problems they've been having with the wheels are well documented. It's a necessary evil for them to keep the ride up and running while limiting the number of complaints from guests.

I rode it today and can 100% say that the people complaining are NOT blowing it out of proportion.

The ride now does not feature a first drop, it features a first brake run! The mag trim fins run all the way to the bottom of the hill to where it begins leveling out, shaving off AT LEAST 6mph of speed but I'd say it's more like 10 from the way the train is slowly cresting the 2nd hill now, as opposed to screaming over it before.

All airtime is removed in every seat from the first hill and the 2nd hill gets a tiny bit of floater in the front row. Not even the back gets the dropping feeling, instead everyone gets a slight "hang" into their shoulder restraint. Beyond lame.

The twisty section is severely slowed down, no longer providing that aggressive "WTF" feeling through each turn. It's still aggressive by most standards but if you got to ride the real i305 you are going to be extremely sad, it's nothing like it was before.

The previously-trimmed hill now has half as many trims but still lacks any serious airtime, post-hill is still the same (but that's such a short amount of the ride who cares).

The soft restraint from the test seat has also disappeared, killing hopes of the soft new restraints from last weekend.

After going last weekend and riding the real i305, riding it this morning was one of the saddest feelings I've ever experienced. The world's most intense coaster is dead, and we'll probably never seen another one like it.

^ yea I'm still mourning the loss of the worlds best and most intense ride.

If you didn't get to ride it, damn, you missed out on the sickest ride likely to ever grace this planet. That drop, turn, blackout, ejector air combo followed by the twists will NEVER be recreated for obvious reasons. I knew it was broken after my first ride and the trims prove it.

Wow, that really sucks... I wonder if that ACE event will be moved from KD next year because of this...... I really wish I was able to ride this thing before they trimmed it.... Oh well we all knew they were going to do SOMETHING, but thats what happens when people complain and the ride becomes "unsafe." I am sure they have good reasons for doing what they did, its a shame, but whats done is done. Maybe they will at least have a press conference or something stating why they did it.... highly unlikely though

I should follow up with the fact that my first thought after riding the full force 305 was "wow that is broken.... But sickkkkk.". The turn induced greyouts almost every time I rode it, getting stronger each time if it was in quick succession. From halfway down the drop to halfway up the second hill it was "p e r f e c t" speed and heavy g's and you'd regain all vision as you were ejected. I can't even describe the speed and g's until you hit the trim.

Anyways... The trains make strange noises related to the anti rollbacks and eat wheels like crazy. You could see them turning from blue to grey/black throughout the day... Obviously $1200 wheels add up.

The brakes were the only possible fix that covers both blackouts and wheel wear. I imagine they are hard at work on a harder / better wheel but those brakes are never coming down regardless, it wasn't cheap or easy to put them there and it prevents the greyouts that the public was buzzing about. The brakes are just half of the trims that were already on the midway hill but spread out all the way down one side to the pullout. Otsrs won't swat people in the head now, but they shouldn't have existed anyway.

My favorite Intamin - the wheel eater. R.I.P

I was just reading on kdfansite and it looks like the trims make the ride more tolerable but doesnt really ruin it? Clint Novak stated the front isnt as good but the back is nice and its smoother.... I see all these petitions and all these rants to KD for adding trims and it wasnt even KD that added them, Intamin did  Good ol intamin.... I am sure they will solve their wheel problem eventually and maybe that will lead to removal of the trims. I didnt think they would put trims down the entire drop, just part ways somewhere... Oh well I guess I will never know the true intensity of the ride one way or another, but I hope to at least ride it someday, and hopefully they will end up with no OTSR, but it looks like they are going to do the modified straps within the next few weeks (or that is the rumor). Anyway, I hope that the coaster is still going to hold its place as being "one of the best" its just a little more tolerable for your average rider now.... I wonder what kind of wheels they will design... I wouldnt be surprised if they have to re-design the trains...

Its funny how the same people who knocked B&M for "floater air" are now saying "floater air" is cool now since 305 basically has been dummy downed. And "hang time"??? They way its described - like your body is falling before the train - to me sounds like a slow deal...

Jon...its no ground breaking info just saying the trims were needed and dont know if the clocking speed will be kept...
