I hope the re-profile of the turn helps it out. I am planning on going for the ace day in may, I have to ride this thing again. For those of you in charlotte, they now have this "Mega Bus" that goes to richmond and its like $1 per seat... I dont know if there is any kind of hidden fees or anything, but that sure beats the $80 for a train ride to there.

haha, yea. I think the bus would be an interesting experience and no where near as long of a ride as the amtrak we took last year. This one only stops in raleigh and then richmond and I think it goes on to DC. I am just very excited about the price and will definately be going for $1 and then whatever the room cost and ticket etc. I might even upgrade to the pass that gets me in all cedar fair parks, might be worth it. I dont have to get a new pass, they said to use the 2010 pass when I did my renew so that is interesting, kinda hopin for a new card the other is kind of worn anyway so I might just get another made if they let me. I am pretty sure I will be at the ace event because the one in august was a blast and this time if we get a behind the scene tour, my camera will NOT be dead

MegaBus is incredibly nice. The buses have WiFi and electrical outlets. I rode one with leather seats too, but that may have been BoltBus and not MegaBus.

Just keep in mind that $1 is only the starting price; once a date goes on sale those $1 seats start to go fast, and then the prices start rising.

The other thing is that Kings Dominion is nearly 25 miles outside of Richmond where the bus stops. I have no idea how you could get to the park from there. I imagine there is a city bus that goes there, but you'll want to check.

Thanks for the info. Their website said its so busy they have limited the ticket sales to like 28 days early or something so I will definately get one when I can. I saw at one point when i was pricing one seat was $3 but that is a LOT better than $85 or whatever it was for the amtrak. To get from richmond to the park, we just take a cab. Last year we used richmond taxi with no problem. I am not sure where the bus pulls into but the site says main street station, which is where the train stop was that we got off at. I think the cab ride was like $35 or something if I remember right each way, which I dont guess is to bad. We could rent a car but thats just a lot of work and hassle so...

Thanks again for the info, makes me look even more forward to the trip with wi fi and outlets etc. :D

Could anyone fill me in on what the "reprofiled layout" is? Like, what did they do that's different? I rode it last summer and didn't really see a reason anything should be changed lol
