General Carowinds discussion
#58996
Folks, let's please try to keep things at least loosely related to the topic at hand. This thread keeps becoming a catch all for people to discuss whatever is on their mind. We have an entire forum here, so let's take advantage of it. Discussion related to the 2015 coaster should go in this thread. Discussion related to other Carowinds things should go in the other threads in this subforum. Discussion that is about other parks or off topic non-park related things should go in the "All Things Not Carowinds" subforum.

Some tangents are fine (the seat belt discussion makes sense because it came about because of speculation about whether the coaster will have seat belts), but when things are not at all related it clutters up the thread and makes the discussion harder to follow. There's an entire forum at your disposal. Use it.

99% of the time the crew is slowed down by people who are still putting their belts on or by people who straight up sat on their seat belts. Just an observation.

Not their fault, they weren't aware that seat-belts had been added.

So, back on topic talking about the new coaster.
Who here besides me thinks that a huge coaster deserves a magnificent station and queue? Depending on the design and effects, it will hype up the guest's anticipation and excitement for the attraction. A station highly themed to Roman architecture, if built right and out of the right materials, is within their budget. I mean, look at boo blasters, and look at some of the other architecture around the park. (sorry, I love architecture and that's one of the first things I look at in most places.) The park has some really nice structures (aside from the art-deco buildings near skytower which REALLY need to be redesigned to fit the Carolina theme).
Our new coaster deserves a beautiful station. One that no Cedar Fair park has ever seen.
Just my opinion, so please don't bash me for it. Feel free to post your own ideas. :)

Magnificent station? Universal Studios and Disney World are that way.-------->

I agree, If I want scenery, I should go to Disney© or Universal©.
All I'm saying is that this will be a "destination coaster". It deserves more than just your average station and average theming.
Besides, the station can be built with cheap, well-made materials. Well, within Cedar Fair's budget.

Okay, now that makes perfect sense. I didn't know you could request a name on a can. Yeah, they are just teasing us. For all we know, we may have been played as the fool this whole time, and the name won't be Centurion, or Fury, or whatever else we've heard. I can't wait to be surprised. Let's just make sure that everything that has to do with this new coaster stays in this thread, so it won't be jumbled everywhere.

any news on the Ohio plant anyone? I haven't seen anything yet or heard anything from anyone up there.
