Watched Intimidator and Banshee erect. It's cool, but it's not earth-shattering. Talk to me when the testing starts.

Back when Intimidator was being erected I worked within viewing distance of it so it was cool to see it going up. It was even cooler watching them test it for the first time.

At scarowinds with Gabed tonight, Fury construction has moved along, but I must say that the brake run supports look a lot smaller in person.

Yeah, they are probably about 30 to 40 feet high...

Not right next to what's been erected but alongside the Season Pass Parking lot it looks like most of the coaster is at Carowinds.

I'm gonna throw out some guesses here:

--between 180 to 200 track sections
--between 280 to 310 support sections

Some have speculated that based on what they have done so far and how big this coaster will be that there might be a possibility that it will not be ready for opening day; and while I know that Night Hawk is signifantlly smaller than Fury, I was looking at the past construction pics and they were still repainting the supports and track for Night Hawk the first week in November with no supports in place; that being said I think that we will be fine for opening day.

Well, Intimidator had a slight edge at that time of the year, but not much. They finished Intimidator construction by the end of December. So if Fury gets done by the end of February, they might make it for opening day.

Are there still no reports from the Coaster Classic Event? They must have talked about the construction timeline....can anybody confirm that?
