Goodness, I imagine that you must have gotten that at the same place I got this.

Will there be no bins at the load station for bags? I just want to be prepared for our first visit (and maybe just leave bags in the car). Thanks!

Bins will not be available on Fury... I have asked about other coasters getting retrofitted for that, and there seems to be nothing in the works for those. I believe Steve said there would be 500 or 450 lockers for Fury and operate similar to how they do at Banshee! In the end, this is a safer and faster option - more rides, less wait, and less risk of injuring park guests (both on and off the ride)!

LIke most other parks. you cant go anywhere near the ride entrance with anything in your hands. It has to be placed in a locker or with a non rider. no cubby holes or bins in the station.

I always prefer to have pockets I can secure. I wear cargo pants with pockets that button or a jacket with pockets that zip. The ride operators won't be able to control whether you have anything in your pockets, but just know that I have a good friend who had his iPhone in his pocket on a ride once, and it's now smashed to a million pieces after falling out. The cool thing is I know what the inside of an iPhone looks like now (which is cool for a techie nerd), but the bad thing is a replacement phone was not cheap.

Did they give any indication as to how much the lockers will be? I'm sure having them outside the ride will certainly speed up the loading process (and not to mention saving our phones from demise), but I will need to budget this into our trips to the park, as I assume we will be spending quite a bit on time on Fury. Lol

I think that as long as you have zipped or buttoned pockets, then you should be fine. My sister did the smart thing of putting her phone in her back pocket on Intimidator. Of course, it fell out on the first hill.

This is my thing...I travel alone. I always, ALWAYS wear accommodating clothing where if free lockers are not permitted i have a few pockets with zippers I can secure the very few items I brought in the park with me. I even, sometimes, leave everything in the car when I know I wanna just ride. Its not the end of the world to be detached from your cell phone and such for a few hours lol. I know it's a different story when you have kids back at home and you need that open line if anything goes wrong. But yeah...I don't think the lockers are gonna be any issue. Im surprised every coaster at the park doesn't have lockers! Go to a Busch park or a universal park...they have a STRICT policy of nothing making it to the station. I have never paid for a locker, even at water parks...you just gotta pack light and easy...

Cargo shorts have become quite the fashion faux pas (were they ever not?), but I've definitely got a couple pairs for parks. You gotta have a good pair of coaster shorts. Colder weather gets a bit trickier, but I've got a jacket with zipper pockets for that.

As long as they don't start basically frisking people at rides like Universal...

Easy answer is to find a wife who hates riding coasters but likes to go to the park. If I was single and didn't have that option I would definitely leave the cell phone in the car while in the park.

Leaving phones at home, or in the car, is not always as easy as it may seem. I run my own business, and I don't get a "day off", so my business goes with me via my phone. No, I don't spend all day on it, but I do need to be available in the case of an emergency. Also, with a teenage son who sometimes likes to go off on his own, it's much nicer to have the phone to get in touch.

Also, as a women, I have to say that I have yet to find clothing that is conducive to holding a phone safely. Hence why I usually have a small bag for when we are on the rides.

I have no issue with the lockers at all. We've done it at Universal numerous times. I'm just curious as to the cost so that I can put it in my park-day budget. :-)
