Did the topic of repainting Ripcord come up at all? All that rust is kind of an eyesore in such a nice looking area of the park."

Like was said above, Steve said it's galvanized so they're not painting it at this point, but he did say they're going to put some lighting on it.

Someone asked if B&M does the pressurized rail testing on their coasters like Arrow did.
Steve said they don't, and that Arrow doesn't anymore even.
Arrow used to do that to check to see if there were any cracks in the rails or welds.

Had a great time at the event! Really glad they unveiled the train for us, that was unexpected. Also very very nice of six flags and Dollywood to give us free tickets! I can take my kids to Dollywood now since I have a pass! :) See you guys on 3-25 already took that day off work.

I figured I'd add a few photos from my trip back to my car after Winter Warm Up ended.

Since this has happened before I need to make it known up front this time. These photos are for viewing by Carowinds Connection members only. Please do not copy these images to other websites.

I've got the 6+ and I've used the Slow Mo to take videos of my pitching and hitting for baseball and it is amazing. I also used it the other day to get an awesome panorama of the park with Fury.

True, but these pics will be hard to replicate by anyone else. They were taken from an access road that no one has access to, even during the regular season. With the clouds the way they are and the angle of the shots, I'll know, and I'll go after them - especially if they end up on a certain site.

Those were impressive pics from a new vantage point that definitely revealed the true magnitude and scope of this coaster.
