My new guess:

RED WOLF (Or maybe another pack animal native to the Carolinas?)

A Launched T-Rex (2 seat rows, not 1 seat like Golden Lasso) RMC steel coaster. Maybe it will go under a bridge connecting Carolina Harbor to "Crossroads."

Where can the info I have be found? It can’t. You don’t have access to my text messages and private conversations.

Just brainstorming while driving into work; since this is called Project Alpha and alpha means several different things including being the first letter of the Greek alphabet is there any possibility that Carowinds could resurrect the Centurion logo and name from 2015 just a thought

It’s noted as Project Alpha in filings. I seriously doubt that’s a clue. They didn’t throw that out to enthusiasts it was in official filings that just happen to have been found.

SafetySam wrote:I have seen a lot of people talk about height restrictions not just for this project but from other projects as well...I decided to do some research but the only specifics I found only discussed within 10,000' of the airport. I dug a little deeper and decided to research buildings in the area. The tallest building in Charlotte is the Bank of America Corporate Center it stands at 871' and is 9.3 miles away. Carowinds is 15.1 miles away from the airport.....that being said I don't think we have anything to worry about.

The problem here is that Carowinds is directly in the flight path of the runway. The current FAA max height limit inside of 10,000 feet from the end of the runway is 250 feet. It goes up from there to a distance of 10 miles (50,000 feet). The FAA is actually pushing for the limit to be lowered to 160 feet inside of 10,000 feet and corresponding lowering out to 10 miles.

Then there's this in the obstruction standards... "No obstruction can be built above 200 feet within 3 nautical miles (3.5 statute miles) of an airport. That height increases by 100 feet per nautical mile up to 499 feet."

Carowinds is about 6 statute miles from the airport property. That's just over 5 nautical miles. So the current restriction should be about 400 feet. (This is not including the reduction that the FAA is wanting.) No wonder we hear stories about Fury scraping in under the wire. Unless I'm missing something, I think anything higher than Fury is most likely a no-go for Carowinds.
