ok... thats good for KD ..... i still think carowinds will be getting a better OVERALL coaster when all is said and done.... has anybody been to the park to get updates of the dirt porn or the "official" track porn?? didnt know if anything else has come in since the last update??

The article does not say the name of the ride is Intimidator. It just says that there will be "Dale Earnhardt marks".

I still suspect White Lightning.

The Carowinds coaster will be the longest coaster in the Mid Atlanic states. It may even have the tallest second drop in the region. This is of course if we get a Diamondback like version. Fair had to know what they were doing when they purchased the KD and Carowinds coasters. They provided enough love so that both parks could bask in the glory. "Keep the KD coaster shorter or extend the Carowinds coaster so that both will be record breaking." If all of this holds true, the Carowinds announcement will just as big as KD's was today.

I don't think that is the case at all. It seems fairly clear to me that Cedar Fair is defining Carowinds in the Southeast region and Kings Dominion in the Mid-Atlantic region. That way they don't 'compete' with each other for records.

Soooo..... Does that mean "Lightning really does strike twice" on the side of the Carowinds box mean that we are having the same name (sort of... it would be more like Intimidator 235 or 240) and theme as KD? Or are they gonna theme White Lightning Dale Jr. style? Ugh! I'm confused. Probably trying too hard.

Well ... everything is fslling into one big puzzle. We are getting a DEI themed ride , which I believe is White Lightning because of all these lightning phases Carowinds is coming out with. I bet this ride will be the largest in the area , like Jonathan said. I still think there will be something state of the art on this ride , but it wont come to me... The only way I would say they are putting all of these teasers up with lightning in it is to fool us. I mean , Dani knew about the White Lightning photo "leaked' . Isn't there a possibility that they are putting the lightning teasers to fool us? There is a possibility of both...
